Early in my career, introducing new modalities to my practice often felt overwhelming. There was a lot to navigate — both the potential benefits and the pitfalls. For instance, when I first started using a digital workflow, I didn’t fully understand the limitations of intraoral scanners or the nuances of when to use a verification jig or photogrammetry. I learned the hard way that while I could get away with certain things on an upper arch with eight implants, a lower arch with four implants and a big AP spread was a different story, leading to significant challenges.
With most intraoral scanners, you might find that out of 10 cases, two might fail — which can seriously impact your dental practice. But in this video, I’m sharing how I discovered an invaluable resource — a knowledge shortcut that allows me to confidently integrate new modalities into my practice at an accelerated pace. By consistently leveraging this resource, I’ve reduced errors to a minimum, helping me provide better patient care and safeguard my practice’s success.
