. . . Or So Grateful You Can't Be Weary?
All too often life can get to you, make you weary and cause you to close yourself off from those around you. Sometimes practicing dentistry can get to you too. It is easy to get caught up in LIFE and forget all of the amazing things and people for which we can be grateful. The truth is that the cure for that feeling of weariness is practicing gratitude.
More to be Thankful For Than One Day Can Hold
Thanksgiving Day is a reminder that we have so much for which to be thankful. It is a day to pause and reflect on the countless blessings that we all share in as Americans, the privilege we have to be in the incredible profession of dentistry, and the friends and family with which we are blessed. We all have so much to be thankful for, one day is hardly enough. Let us all allow our thankfulness to spill over throughout the rest of our days. There are tremendous benefits of being grateful for the blessings in our lives. Your happiness, health, and even life expectancy are all influenced by practicing being grateful.
Change Your World and the World Around You With an Rx of Gratitude
This Thanksgiving Day can be a beginning point, a day to decide to be intentional about practicing gratitude, on this day and every day going forward. What if we all began to focus on being grateful and showing gratitude? We can each change our own personal outlook and energy level. And even better, it does not stop with you, it spreads like an outbreak. Being grateful is an internal decision that can transform your life. Showing gratitude can change the world around you.
Think about all of the things and people for which you should have gratitude. Showing gratitude to those around you can change their lives and fill their happiness bank up so that they can share their gratitude with others. Imagine the effect on your life if you increase the gratitude level around you.
Let this Thanksgiving be a day that we all share love and thankfulness with those around us and that we purpose to be intentional about living a grateful life every day.
“Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues but the parent of all others.”
– Marcus Tullius Cicero
